Abstract
Some mobile train radio measurements were conducted in the UHF band in nort hern India in urban, suburban, and open environmental zones. The path losse s deduced from the experimental observations were compared with different p ath-loss prediction techniques. The results showed that uniform theory of d iffraction (UTD) gives good agreement in the urban zone, and over all Hata' s method shows reasonable agreement in all the environmental zones.
