Abstract
Recent genetic and functional studies highlight the importance of IL-4/IL-1 3 signalling in the development of asthma and atopy. Here, Taro Shirakawa a nd colleagues discuss genetic variants of IL-4/IL-13 signalling, and whethe r they promote asthma or atopy among different ethnic groups.
