Investigations of the possibility of increasing the crystal size of caprola
ctam produced in suspension melt crystallization are presented. A 3.6.10(-3
) m(3) new type crystallizer in two configurations: as a Double Draw-off cr
ystallizer and as a crystallizer with fines removal and caprolactam with 0.
7 wt% and I wt% of water were used in the experiments. It has been found th
at it is possible to increase (in comparison with crystals obtained in MSMP
R crystallizer) median size L-50 of crystals produced in the Double Draw-of
f crystalizer by about 53% and by about 25% in the crystallizer with fines
removal.
