Abstract
Through interviews with faculty members in two residential learning communi ties at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, we explored the experiences an d motivations of IS faculty members who became involved and stayed involved in these programs, and we shed light on the role that academic culture pla ys in such involvement. We also explored implications for collaborative eff orts between student affairs and academic affairs.
