Abstract
The final state longitudinal momentum distributions of the ejected ele ctron, recoil ion and the projectile momentum transfer far Ni24+ + He --> Ni24+ + He+ + e(-) are calculated within the continuum distorted-w ave (CDW) model at an impact energy of 3.6 MeV amu(-1). The results ar e discussed in the context of recent CDW eikonal-initial state calcula tions (CDW-EIS) and are compared with available experimental data. The calculated electron energy spectrum and total ionization cross sectio ns within the CDW approximation are in good agreement with both the me asurement and the theoretical CDW-EIS calculations.
