Accuracy prediction for directional MWD

The full-length paper describes a new method to predict wellbore-position u ncertainty. An error model applicable to a basic directional measurement-wh ile-drilling (MWD) service is presented. The paper and the collaborative wo rk it describes establish a common starting point and standardized elements for wellbore-position-uncertainty modeling. The paper includes information necessary to develop and test a software implementation of the method.
