Abstract
Advances in the understanding of baculovirus replication and the ident ification of genes that affect host range set the stage for constructi ng recombinant baculoviruses for specific pest insects. The modificati on of baculovirus host specificity has recently been achieved by inser ting or deleting genes that affect virus replication or cellular defen ses. (C) Current Biology Ltd.
