Abstract
The systematic analysis of the diffraction image shift enabled us to extend the notion of the optical power of a pinhole to the case of an aperture of an arbitrary form and any dimension. The mathematical expression for the d iffractive optical power of an aperture has been obtained by the linear hyp erbolic interpolation with three parameters. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
