Abstract
We demonstrate experimentally an all-optical Fredkin gate that allows the i mplementation of reversible optical logic. The gate is formed by a semicond uctor optical amplifier based nonlinear loop mirror and operates with switc hing energies of similar to 100 fJ. (C) 2000 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
