Jm. Bruner et al., HIGH FELINE TRYPSIN-LIKE IMMUNOREACTIVITY IN A CAT WITH PANCREATITIS AND HEPATIC LIPIDOSIS, Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 210(12), 1997, pp. 1757
Pancreatitis is often difficult to diagnose in cats because of vague c
linical signs and lack of consistent biochemical abnormalities. Serum
amylase and lipase activities are usually within reference ranges. Fel
ine trypsin-like immunoreactivity is a measure of trypsinogen and tryp
sin activity. Serum trypsin-like immunoreactivity may be high in cats
with active pancreatitis.
