Abstract
The spectrum of two-photon transitions presents destructive interferences ( dark resonances) that can be used to achieve continuous-wave Raman sub-reco il cooling, as shown in the present paper. A simple one-dimensional model i s developed and used to show the ability of the method to perform subrecoil cooling.
