Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) is investigated in a liquid parahydrogen
droplet. We show that the liquid hydrogen droplet readily leads to a high-c
avity Q value exceeding 10(9) for whispering gallery modes, and that the SR
S in the liquid-hydrogen droplet proceeds not only for vibrational transiti
on but also for rotational transition as in the gas-phase H-2 system, leadi
ng to multiorder SRS sidebands covering the whole visible spectral range.
