Abstract
We have observed enhanced anomalous resistivity, typically 9 Omega cm, give n by large amplitude fluctuations of electric field (> 10 kV/cm) during the current limiting phase of a high-voltage linear plasma discharge. The beha viors of the power spectral density show dominant role of nonlinear lower h ybrid modes played in the current limitation. (C) 2000 Published by Elsevie r Science B.V. All rights reserved.
