This paper describes a case of segmental aplasia of the right uterine horn
in a three-year-old warmblood mare, The right oviduct only had contact with
the closed uterine horn and not with the rest of the genital tract. A unil
ateral right ovario-hysterectomy was performed. Seventeen months after surg
ery, the mare gave birth to a complete normal male foal after a pregnancy w
ithout any problems.
