Urological complications, as urinary leakage and urinoma formation, re
main a considerable source of morbidity after renal transplantation. U
rinoma may be detected by radionuclide renal scan. Scrotum is an unusu
al location of urinomas. A review of the literature found only five pa
tients with scrotal urinoma diagnosed by Tc-99m DTPA or I-131 Hippuran
renal transplant scan. Currently, Tc-99m MAG3 is considered the agent
of choice for the renal transplant evaluation. To the authors' knowle
dge, this article reports the first time in which a scrotal urinoma ha
s been shown on a Tc-99m MAG3 renal transplant scan.
