Abstract
In the present study serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT) and monoamine ox idase (MAO) were both found localized in the blood vessel walls of human de ntal pulp. Our discovery of MAO activity in human dental pulp suggests a fu nctional relationship between serotonin and MAO in this region. (C) 2000 El sevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
