Abstract
Two known compounds of the cycloartane series - cyclosieversiosides C and G - and the new glycoside cycloglobiceposide B - 24R-cycloartane-3 beta,6 al pha,16 beta,24,25-pentaol 16,25-di-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside 3-O-beta-D-xylo pyranoside - have been isolated from the roots of Astragalus globiceps Bung e. The structures of the glycosides were established on the basis of the th e results of enzymatic and total hydrolysis and also of H-1 and C-13 NMR sp ectra.
