Rectovaginal fistulae following low anterior resection are rare, but if pre
sent therapy is difficult, We report on a 52-year-old patient who was opera
ted upon several times, including an endorectal advancement nap procedure a
nd transperineal repair with levator interposition, Closure was only succes
sful after transposition of the M. gracilis between the vagina and rectum.
