Abstract
The study presents the photophysical and photochemical characteristics in a queous solution of some triazine-stilbene fluorescent brighteners containin g 2-hydroxyethylamino groups and their trans-cis isomers in equilibrium. It has been established that the type of substituent in the triazine ring doe s not affect significantly the absorption-fluorescence assignments or the r elative distribution of the trans- and cis-isomers.
