Abstract
Orthogonal and complete eigenfunctions with resonance characteristics are i ntroduced for the Fourier series representation of the polarisation current inside a scatterer. In addition, using a hybrid algorithm a high-contrast circular dielectric cylinder with a diameter of two wavelengths is reconstr ucted with multiple incidences of plane waves in the presence of 20% Gaussi an noise in the scattered fields.
