Abstract
The synthesis, conformational analysis and preliminary biological evaluatio n of some new pyrano[2,3-c]xanthen-7-ones and pyrano[3,2-b]xanthen-6-ones i s described. Certain compounds possess interesting cytotoxic activity again st murine leukemia L1210 cells.
