Abstract
The regioselectivity in the aminomethylations (the Mannich reaction) of bic yclic phenols has been studied. Highly regioselective Mannich reactions ena ble easy synthetic access to novel bicyclic dialkylaminomethylphenols under very mild reaction conditions.
