Abstract
We report on a comparison of methods (SQUID, ac) commonly employed to derive irreversibility lines (IL) and critical current densities of me lt processed YBCO matarials. As expected from thermal activation theor y, the results for J(c) as well as for the position of the IL in the H -T-diagram are clearly dependent on the characteristic time scale of t he measuring technique.
