Abstract
The first monomeric mono- and binuclear clathrochelates with trifluoromethy lgermanium-containing capping groups have been prepared by template condens ation of cyclohexanedion-1,2-dioxime, diacetylazineoxime and diacetylmonoxi me hydrazone with IGe(CF3)(3) on an Fe2 + ion. The trigonal-antiprismatic g eometry at the Fe2 + coordination polyhedron for the complexes obtained has been established from Fe-57 Mossbauer and UV spectra. (C) 2000 Elsevier Sc ience S.A.
