This article updates the International Intraocular Lens Registry published
in January 1999. A total of 936 intraocular lenses (IOLs) and nonoptical im
plants are available to surgeons in 2000. Sixty-seven new implants were add
ed to the registry, and 25 existing IOLs required a change in the lens cons
tant. The cooperation of the companies has been excellent, and comments fro
m implant surgeons have been very gratifying. J Cataract Refract Surg 2000;
