The complexity of the fifth limb of myodocopine Ostracoda has led to many i
nterpretations of its homologies. The presence of muscles interpreted to ma
rk the axis of the endopod of Isocypridina quatuorsetae supports the interp
retations by H. J. Hansen and by G. Boxshall contending that the fifth limb
of the Cypridinidae bears an unsegmented exopod.
