Multijet events and parton showers

We propose a general approach for the description of multijet events in the framework of QCD event generators. We introduce a new algorithm to match p arton showers and arbitrary tree-level matrix elements for the production o f any number of jets via the strong or electroweak interaction. We develop a new parton cascade code capable of dealing with multijet events at LEP en ergies and beyond.
