Abstract
Blood samples were collected from 20 sedated captive Eld's-Brow Antlered de er (Cervus eldi thamin), aged over 1.5 years, to define their mean hematolo gical values (packed cell volume and hemoglobin) and mean plasma biochemica l parameters. Male deer had a significantly higher plasma glucose level and aspartate aminotransferase activity than female deer.
