Abstract
Immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy is the commonest type of primary glomeru lonephritis worldwide, It has previously been reported in association with the seronegative spondyloarthropathies (ankylosing spondylitis, Behcet's sy ndrome, psoriatic arthritis, Reiter's syndrome and the postenteritic arthri tides). Since this condition was first described in 1968, 5 previous case r eports of biopsy-proven IgA nephropathy associated with Reiter's syndrome h ave been published in the English-language literature. Here we report 2 mor e such cases, along with a review of the literature describing the associat ion of IgA nephropathy and a number of other immune-complex-mediated glomer ulonephritides with the seronegative spondyloarthropathies, Copyright (C) 2 000 S.
