Abstract
The methods to investigate time-reversal invariance (TRI) violation using a polarized neutron beam and a polarized or aligned nuclear target are brief ly discussed. A new method of dynamic nuclear alignment (DNA) of nuclei wit h a quadrupole moment is proposed. An implementation of this method could s ignificantly increase the number of aligned nuclei accessible for TRI viola tion experiments and for other physics investigations, (C) 2000 Elsevier Sc ience B.V.
