Abstract
Depolarization of ultra-cold neutrons (UCN) stored in material traps was fi rst observed. The probability of UCN spin flip per reflection depends on th e trap material and varies from 7 x 10(-6) (beryllium) to 10(-4)(glass). (C ) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. Ail rights reserved.
