Abstract
Mapping of the assemblages of light, heavy, and clay minerals from surface layer of the sediments of the St. Anna Trough (the Kara Sea) revealed that adjacent rises are the main sources of the sediment matter. The sedimentary matter from the areas of avalanche sedimentation located in the inner shel f zone is either not supplied to the study region, or transported over it.
