Abstract
We report here an experimental study of the electrical response of c a xis oriented YBa2Cu3O7-x thin films to optical irradiation at waveleng th of 10,6 and 0,83 mum. We can explain the time, temperature, current bias, and optical power dependances of the photoresponse with a heat transfer model taking into account the size of the laser beam. From th ese measurements we can deduce values of the absorbtivity of YBa2Cu3O7 -x at the wavelengths considered.
