Abstract
A perturbation method has been developed to calculate the Green's function for an interface of arbitary shape, which separate several media with diffi erent dielectric coefficients. In this work, we apply the formalism to the three-media case. By placing a dielectric sphere on a planar interface, we treat it as a small perturbation to the original two-media case. The numeri cal results are compared with exact solution via multiple image method. Goo d agreements are found. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
