Abstract
Preliminary results of experiments that are performed at the Petersburg Nuc lear Physics Institute (Gatchina, Russia) and which are aimed at measuring the differential cross sections for the reactions pi(-)p --> pi(0)n and pi( -)p --> eta n are presented.
