Abstract
The post traumatic stress syndrome concept is rarely represented in French- language literature and in diagnostic nomenclature, There is art increase i n the number of situations of traumatism, be they the result of collective catastrophes, chaotic familial situations or pediatric practice (for exampl e, during organ transplant procedures). A presentation of clinical cases allows for the discussion of the forms of psychopathologies, of stressors and familial reactions. This article propos es to define traumatism as originating in a source outside of the child, ma rked by violence rather than by sexuality and bringing with it typical sign s as well as comorbidities. The dialectic between intrinsic elements of the trauma and parental reactions as well as the structure of the child are em phasized.
