Abstract
Tile incompatibility of the use of nuclear power with the economical u se of energy is non-existent technically, wrong economically and subop timal ecologically. Both the economical use of energy and the renewabl e energy sources are independent of nuclear power in two walls. They a re necessary anyway, and they are not impeded by nuclear power, which is needed as well. It is only the interaction, i.e. the division of re sponsibilities and mutual complementing, which can be the base of an e nergy system with a future which, in the sense of the 1992 Rio Earth S ummit, will preserve the environment, especially the climate, and supp ort development.
