Abstract
Various attempts for improving flux pinning properties of Hg- and Bi-based superconductors have been summarized in the present paper. For both materia ls, it has been shown experimentally that introduction of disorder as well as decreasing electromagnetic anisotropy, which can he achieved by a modera te chemical substitution, are effective for the improvement of their Aux pi nning properties.
