A new type of motion perimetry test was performed on three groups of patien
ts (15 normal subjects, 10 patients with ocular hypertension, and 22 patien
ts with early-to-moderate chronic glaucoma). Differences of coherence thres
hold were statistically significant both between normal and hypertensive su
bjects, and between normal and glaucomatous subjects. Dispersion of data an
d overlapping of results were the main problems found. Motion perimetry cou
ld be an interesting non-conventional perimetric test in glaucoma, but its
reliability and repeatability should be improved.
