Deep sclerectomy in glaucoma. Preliminary results

The authors report the main intra-operational problems and difficulties the y have found with deep sclerectomy. a new surgical procedure for glaucoma. The early post-operational complications and the short-term results are als o reported. Deep sclerectomy appears to be a safe and effective procedure i n various types of glaucoma patients, but randomized prospective long-term studies are needed to declare that classical trabeculectomy is out-moded.
