Abstract
In superconducting/ferromagnetic (S/F) multilayers, the strong pair br eaking in the F layers has a pronounced influence on the superconducti vity in the S layers. This can be seen in a strong decrease of T(c) wi th decreasing S layer thickness, which leads to a critical thickness d (cr) for the occurrence of superconductivity. By combining V with Fe, Co, Ni, and the ferromagnetic alloys V0.50Fe0.50 and V0.65Fe0.35, we s how that d(cr) is not simply correlated with the magnitude of the magn etic moments.
