W-189 was produced by bombarding natural osmium targets with 14.7 MeV
neutrons. The W activities were chemically separated from Os and Re. G
amma-ray spectra were obtained by employing a high resolution detector
. A total of 22 gamma-rays in the separated tungsten fractions was fou
nd which could be assigned to the decay of W-189. Eighteen of these ga
mma-rays were previously unreported.
