Integral absorption (IA) method is a new numerical multidimensional techniq
ue, which is used for the estimation of molecular quantities as molar absor
ption coefficient (kappa(4)) and equilibrium constant (K-4) of complex form
ation with less errors. On the basis of IA method three relationships are d
erived, which can be applied for all ratios of donor / acceptor concentrati
ons. The method is applied for investigation of CTC's formed between some d
imethoxynaphthalenes as: 1,4 dimethoxynaphthalene (1,4-DMN), 1,5-DMN, 1,8-D
MN, 2,3-DMN, 2,6-DMN and 2,7-DMN with tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) in CH2Cl2 a
t a few temperatures. The geometrical structure, but not the ionization pot
entials, of the donors plays a major role in the stability of the complexes
