Abstract
An extended top-down design methodology is proposed for more complicat ed LSI's. In the presented design flow, several design stages are inte grated into earlier design stages in order to achieve higher design qu ality and shorter design term by avoiding long design loops. In this p aper, the new design methodology and several new CAD technologies are summarized with some apparent results.
