Abstract
Fracture toughness behavior of aluminium chromium alloys with minor additio ns is studied to determine its relation with microstructure and ageing cond itions. The effect of the minor additions on the fracture toughness propert y of the alloys is also studied. Fracture toughness of Al-Cr alloys has been improved by selected minor addi tions. Also, the fracture toughness of the investigated alloys is found to be sensitive to ageing conditions.
