Abstract
A new species of Schizocosa (Araneae, Lycosidae) is described and illu strated. Schizocosa uetzi new species is locally abundant in the south eastern USA and is mature during June and July. Morphological characte rs, coloration and courtship behavior separating this new species from its closely related congeners are noted.
