Abstract
This is a collection of all of the identifiable and stageable embryos collected over a period of years in the Department of Obstetrics and G ynaecology, Edinburgh. Each of the embryos has been allocated to one o f the Carnegie stages on the basis of the maximum number of its develo pmental parameters fitting into the stage, Some embryos may have devel opmental events which could classify them into another stage, but usin g a rigid classification system mould mean that some embryos are there fore not classifiable.
