Abstract
Absolute cross sections as functions of kinematic variables are presen ted for the production of muon pairs from 800 GeV proton bombardment o f H-2. Drell-Yan (continuum) dimuons were recorded in the mass regions 4.5 less than or equal to M(mu+mu-) less than or equal to 9 GeV and M (mu+mu-) greater than or equal to 11 GeV, with an x-Feynman range -0.1 less than or equal to x(F) less than or equal to 0.75. This range cor responds to smaller masses and larger values of x(F) than previous 800 GeV Drell-Yan data. Cross sections for the gamma (1S) resonance are a lso given versus the transverse momentum and x(F).
