An ultrafast variable optical delay technique

We demonstrate a novel method capable of achieving ultrafast variable delay . This technique utilizes temporal gratings to vary the timing of optical p ulses. Ultrafast, variable optical delays may be used in optical clock reco very circuits, all-optical phase-locked loops, and other applications.
