New protolimonoids and limonoids: Part I - Isolation, structure elucidation of new protolimonoids and limonoid from the root wood of Chisocheton paniculatus Hiern (Meliaceae)

Five new protolimonoids paniculatin B, paniculatin C, panicualtin D, panicu latin G, paniculatin H, a new limonoid arunachalin and known compound panic ulatin including beta-sitosterol have been isolated from the mature root wo od of Chisocheton paniculatus Hiern (Fam. Meliaceae). Structures of the new compounds have been established by spectral data and of the known compound s by comparing with authentic compounds.
